Seek DC authorization, then accreditation
Apply for authorization from the DC Higher Education Licensure Commission and pursue accreditation from a U.S. Department of Education-recognized accrediting agency. No timeline is promised, and approval is never guaranteed.
Before you apply or pay
- No NBU degree, diploma or certificate has been awarded, and none can be until NBU is authorized.
- Credits earned at NBU may not transfer to other institutions, and NBU may not be recognized by employers or licensing boards.
- Application fees and any other payments do not guarantee admission, enrollment or approval.
- Check any school's status for yourself with the DC Higher Education Licensure Commission and the U.S. Department of Education's accreditation database (opens in a new tab).
How we operate
- Student privacy: our leadership has completed U.S. Department of Education FERPA training, and we plan to protect education records under FERPA.
- Fair hiring: NBU participates in E-Verify.
- Honest marketing: every program, fee and service is described as planned until approved.
- Accessibility and non-discrimination: see our non-discrimination and accessibility statements.
NBU participates in E-Verify
As part of our commitment to compliance and fair hiring practices, Nation Builders University uses E-Verify, a service of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, to confirm the employment eligibility of new hires. Esta organización participa en E-Verify.
- E-Verify is used only after a job offer is accepted and Form I-9 is completed.
- If E-Verify cannot confirm eligibility, the employee is given written instructions and an opportunity to contact DHS or the Social Security Administration before any action is taken.
- E-Verify works for everyone. Questions or concerns about E-Verify: call DHS at 888-897-7781 or visit e-verify.gov (opens in a new tab).
E-Verify is a service of DHS and SSA. This statement is not an endorsement of NBU by any government agency.
